The Forge Gun...you are looking for the Forge Gun
Forge Guns (All Variations) are Long-Range Low DPS Weapons (400m Range, same as the 80GJ Railgun)...although the Breach and Vanilla Forge Guns could use some love...Assault seems to be fine, if not a little on the powerful side, but hey, so are HAVs
The Swarm Launcher is a Mid-Range, High-DPS weapon (150m Lock-Range, 400m Travel Distance). They used to have a 400m Lock-Range as well, but they where nerfed due to a technical issue that prevented the Swarm Missiles from appearing to vehicles farther than approx. 175-200m...which was obviously be a bit of a problem, as Suddenly Explosions from Nowhere! was a common thing. The latest nerf down to 150 came as they outperformed most other forms of AV, and made life especially hard on Dropships Pilots, despite being in a very much nerfed state
The Plasma Cannon is a Specialist AV Weapon (With an absolute range of 400, but the arc prevents the wielder of making use of this full distance) with high-hitting power, but anemic DPS, but a unique AV profile (being anti-shield Hybrid Plasma)
AV Grenades are Very Close Range, Very High-DPS
Bring the correct weapon for the job?
...but can a Redline Rail-HAV really do much? I mean other than lock down maybe one NULL cannon (which a single player can do quite effectively) and/or keep enemy vehicles from farming the redline? Nothing compared to before where they could...do the exact same thing, just with a tiniest little splash radius...from 200m further back?
Even still, a concern is a concern...and I'd like to see it answered with new AV options...

If it is possible to make gameplay onto even a single victory condition (objective) then, yes, it is too much. The redlines are too close to the fight area. On the first part...my mistake...was remembering swarm flight range
As for the second part, I can agree the red lines are too close and/or have improper elevation; however, a single player providing over watch to a single victory condition is pat for the course in dust...even in locations where said player has little chance of receiving retribution, except by means of the same methods that need to be used to remove red line railtanks...unless those locations are changed as well I see little meaning in changing the redline.

Swarms SPECIFICALLY are ridiculous! Play PC more, and less pubs. Tanks get rekted in PC! They're simply not worth having when another rifle capable of hacking and throwing Core Locus Grenades can do everything they can and more with additional impact on any point that dropsuit chooses to be one. Tanks in Dust make too little sense as units to actually contribute anything to a competitive fight.
Other than combating other tanks, and Interdiction of derpships...
